Hey folks, hope you all are well. I was thinking of posting a story I did last year. It's "based on true events" or as close to them as I could and wanted to get, but just unsure of when I should do it. I guess I'll post it soon.
In other thoughts, I was thinking of critiques and do they matter. If they are like, oh hey you didn't add a tail to the word balloon, that's fine, though I get grumpy because I screwed up. But as far as asking others what they think of what I'm doing, page layouts, designs, seeking approval from people that aren't me, it's pointless.
I know others feel that it's a tool to better your art with, to grow, but I don't want to grow. To me growing implies eventual death. You can strive to improve but that journey doesn't compare to just being. Like a force of nature. Winds don't die. Not in the way a tree does. The wind goes quiet, returns for a breeze, or a gust that can knock the trees down. I'd rather be the wind. Something that just is. Instead of thinking of what I could be.
Well take care, and see you in the funny pages.
